I’m Laura Wilson Cane, the person behind the camera.

I fell in love with photography when I was a kid, back when cameras all still used film.  My dad was a photographer and he encouraged us to learn and enjoy it as much as he did.  I started my first photography business while working at a veterinary clinic, which led to some very awkward posing instructions (think “Stay!” along with the hand motion).  Fortunately, I’ve come a long way since that.

I’m mom to an amazing little girl who loves to be my assistant.  Occasionally, she’ll come along to shoots and help with posing suggestions.  Because of her, my available “office” hours are primarily 9am to 2pm on weekdays. Photo sessions are available to be scheduled during weekends with 1 week notice.

Personal Branding and Product Photography stole my heart a few years back.  Before becoming a stay at home mom, I was doing weddings primarily.  I love them!  But then my family and I moved to Washington and I started business all over again with a toddler at home.  During this time out of California, I met so many amazing small business owners and wanted to share their stories.  

I am so inspired by small businesses and the people who build them.  I love hearing the stories the owners have about WHY their business exists, what they love about it, the products they make, the goals they have for their future.  It is amazing to hear.  That’s why I decided to work primarily with businesses.  I want to work with you to tell your story and capture your brand.  Together we can share the image you have with your clients.  I love watching the businesses and individuals I work with thrive.
